My Bio

Dance has moved my life in extraordinary ways! I thrive on being in the moment and fully connected to my body and soul. I continue to train with exceptional teachers including Charla Genn, and Elena Kunikova, who generously share their wisdom and expertise. I'm deeply committed to bringing the experience of dance to the people I am honored to teach, the audiences I perform for, and sharing stories through my choreography. For over 15 years I've taught, choreographed, and prepared students for professional dance and musical theatre careers. I give them care and encouragement while inspiring them to become their best.

Growing up in western Montana, I've been passionately dancing, singing, and loving the creative process for most of my life. I trained and performed with the Rocky Mountain Ballet Theatre before leaving Big Sky country to study on full scholarship at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Then it was off to NYC, where I worked professionally in dance and musical theatre.

Favorite performance credits:

National Tour: The Will Rogers Follies.

Regional productions: 42nd Street, Crazy For You, Thoroughly Modern Millie, South Pacific, Annie Get Your Gun, Gypsy Love, & Kismet.

Between gigs, you'd find me training at Steps On Broadway and Broadway Dance Center with master teachers, including Tony Stevens, Chet Walker, Richard Pierlon, Derek Mitchell, Jeff Shade, Ray Hesselink, Steven Sophia, Fabrice Herrault, Debbie Roshe, Elena Kunikova, Edward Ellison, James Kinney, and Randy Skinner to name a few.

Attending the Broadway Theatre Project directed by Ann Reinking, Circle in the Square Theatre School, and receiving my Yoga Certification from Laughing Lotus NYC profoundly affected me. In addition, I'm proud to have been an original company member and teacher with the House of Roses, directed by Jeff Shade, performing in their first show at Symphony Space.

Following my heart, I moved to Humboldt County, CA, to live with the love of my life! Becoming a choreographer, teacher, producer, and founder of Move To Dance allowed me to share my passion for dancing with the local community and help students launch their professional careers in dance and musical theatre. My students have been accepted into prestigious programs including Ballet Austin’s Butler Fellow Program, the Goh Ballet Youth Company (full scholarship), Master Ballet Academy Pre-Pro Program, Konservatorium Sunrise Studios in Vienna, Austria (scholarship), Butler University, Escola Luthier Dansa in Barcelona, Spain, and Summer Intensives at ABT, Washington Ballet, Ballet West, and Rock School. They have gone on to work professionally in ballet and musical theatre careers including Washington Ballet, Ballet Austin, Portland Ballet, New Ballet, Mean Girls National Tour, and many regional musical theatre productions.

As the founder and artistic director of Move To Dance, I offered the Youth Training Program designed to meet the needs of dedicated dance students who seek individualized attention to help them reach their goals. In addition, I taught various classes for adults of all ages. I’m offering private lessons, coaching, and choreography commissions in person and online.

I'm honored to have been a guest teacher at Sunrise Studios (Vienna, Austria),  Vienna International Ballet Experience (VIBE) (Vienna, Austria & USA), Ballet Beyond Borders (BBB) (USA), and TCDA-IBF Summer Intensive. I won gold, silver, and bronze as a dancer and choreographer at VIBE and BBB and Outstanding School at BBB.

Co-producing Dancing Stars of Humboldt for five years allowed me to educate, promote, and encourage the talented dancers of Humboldt County while providing low-cost cultural enrichment for the community.

I had the pleasure of passing on my training and experiences through teaching and choreographing at local studios, schools, and theatre companies in Humboldt County. Favorite choreography credits: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz (the musical & ballet version), Damn Yankees, West Side Story (dance excerpts), many original works, and a flash Mob for a birthday surprise!

To all of the people who have helped shape my dance life, I am forever grateful! I will continue to nurture the spirit and love of dance in all my work.
